As we tread from the mist under northern skies and desolate nights, five souls set foot to complete one common aspiration. We are the Nocturnal Divinity...Led only by our undying love for composition, we will massacre the remains of your hearts, and captivate your yearning souls for the unwavering sound of what you wish the angels could sound like...In late October of 2005, Nocturnal Divinity was born. Brian Layer was found frozen in a block of ice from Antarctica with a stick, of which was then replaced with a bass guitar, assuming that he would be good at it. Brian was discovered at Pirate Fest at The Zoo in Osborne Village with a sign stating ‘WILL PLAY FOR FOOD OR BOOZE’; he was then adopted into Nocturnal Divinity. To this day, he still insists to cut the sleeves off every shirt that comes into his possession.Coming from the Netherworlds through a portal in The Collective Cabaret's basement, Matthew Toews, master swordsman, traded in his sword for an axe. Nocturnal Divinity was everything that he has ever wanted; it was the exact style and formation that he had imagined for quite some time, and he wanted it badly.Willing to explore and learn to play new instruments, Michael Milner fell upon us while seeking to feed his musical desires. Michael was interested in being a part of a different style of music, starting everything from the beginning, to becoming part of an epic masterpiece.Arriving from the land of dust and ashes, Carly Iskierski, was added to the collaboration, looking for a new addiction to ease her pain. With words sewn together like an antique wedding dress, she is sure to shock you with her sullen grace. And finally, Frank Molnar, a man of mystery was found. Hidden in shadows until the beat of a drum, he will light your way with sounds that are so haunting, they are beautiful to the unknowing mind. With two band added together, heading towards a new direction, we hope to entrance you into the sounds of our hopes and fears, creating a nocturnal divinity...(Oh yeah, and Matt says that he would one day like to roar a burp in front of at least 10,000 of you. And for those who know Matt, you'll know when it's coming...)
